About the Scheme
Every day, Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicle Drivers travel long distances, work through challenging conditions, and keep India moving. Behind every journey is a family that shares the dream of a better and brighter future. The Buddy4Study Gati Shakti Scholarship Program 2026-27 is an initiative by Buddy4Study dedicated to supporting the educational journeys of children of Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicle Drivers. Through financial assistance of up to INR 30,000, the program seeks to support students across different stages of education, from secondary and higher secondary education to vocational courses, ITI, diploma, polytechnic, undergraduate, and postgraduate studies.

Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfil the following criteria to be eligible for the Buddy4Study Gati Shakti Scholarship Program 2026-27: The applicant must be a child/ward of a Heavy or Light Commercial Vehicle Driver, including truck, bus, pickup, and last-mile delivery vehicle drivers, Students studying from Class 9 onwards, including Classes 9 to 12, vocational courses, ITI, diploma, polytechnic, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs, are eligible to apply, Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the previous class, academic year, or semester, The applicant's total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 8,00,000, Students from across India are eligible to apply, Applicants must provide valid proof of their parent/guardian's occupation as a Heavy or Light Commercial Vehicle Driver. Note: Students awaiting their latest academic results may be considered based on their previous academic year/semester performance, wherever applicable. Preference may be given to applicants from identified priority categories, including Persons with Disabilities (PwD), students from single-parent households, orphaned students, transgender students, and students belonging to aspirational districts. Meeting the above eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection. Final selection will be based on document verification, the applicant's profile, applicable selection criteria, and availability of scholarship support.
Admissions & Course Track
Diploma, Pre-Matric (Secondary), Professional courses and Undergraduate students in Class 9 studying Engineering & Technology and Vocational.
Nationality
Open to Indian nationals.
Annual Family Income Threshold
Gross annual family income must not exceed ₹8,00,000 (₹8 lakh) per annum.
Academic Standing
Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
Persons with Disabilities
Students with disabilities may apply, or receive a relaxation in the criteria.
