If the institution finds that the number of eligible candidates in the first year is less than the number of slots allotted to it, then the remaining slots may be offered to eligible students studying in the second, third and fourth years based on their previous year's inter-se merit. Priority will be given to those who have a greater number of years left to complete their respective course. For instance, 2nd-year students will be given preference over 3rd-year students and so on.
